What’s your least favorite part about candy? Too sweet? Too sticky? Too messy? How about its role in habitat destruction and animal extinction? Mars is taking a stand and eliminating palm oil from all its products and urging competitors to do the same. The Home Sweet Home campaign brings this to life by using photography to depict Mars candy as the homes lost to unsustainable palm oil production, with illustrated animals finding shelter in their new palm-oil-free candy homes. To reach consumers at key moments, the campaign features out-of-home and in-store ads in the candy aisle, encouraging shoppers to make choices that help restore these habitats. With one simple recipe change, Mars is making a big impact—deliciously!
